WaysSouth encourages those interested in the future of Highway 64 through the Ocoee Gorge to attend upcoming public meetings hosted by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) either this Monday or Tuesday. Please forward this e-mail to others who want to stay informed or have concerns. This is one of the 4-lane mountain projects being studied that could in time have another name—Interstate 3.
From TDOT: A public meeting will be held to provide information regarding Corridor K and open lines of communication for discussion of project alternatives. The same meeting will be held at two different locations to accommodate as many interested people as possible.
July 20, Copper Basin High School, 300 Cougar Drive, Copperhill, TN 37317
July 21, Polk County High School, 7200 Highway 411N, Benton, TN 37307
Drop by between 5-8p.m. and view information about the project, talk with TDOT staff and Citizen Resource Team members. There will not be a formal presentation or Q&A period. You will be able to submit your comments/questions for the record in writing.
Read here [link coming soon] for more information about these meetings and the Corridor K project planning status, schedule, description, history, map, etc.
